Who are the people behind PnP Adventure?

For now we are 2 people from Finland, married for a year, and currently on a Working Holiday in New Zealand!

PnP stands for Petra and Petri. Or Petri and Petra, whichever name you prefer first. That’s why it’s handy that we both have name starting with P, so we’re both first. 😉 Some of you know one of us, but not the other, or you might know us both, but here comes a small introduction to us, as individuals and as a couple.

Petri

Petri is a 36 year old mechanical Engineering student who has enjoyd his second chance of youthful lifestyle for a decade or so. Petri started his second term in life with applying to university at 28 years old. Petri has always been interested in different cultures and traveling to learn more things, but has been a bit too grounded to be a backpacker in his twenties. Now its time to learn and experience things and live life to the fullest!

Facts Sheet about Petri:
Dyslexic so writes short and concise descriptions.
Can be described as eccentric, intense and empathetic.
Motto: It’s now or never.
Funny fact: Wears a Hello Kitty backpack.
Spirit animal: Seal (as they are chubby and cute).
Favourite topics to talk about: My wife, engineering and excel sheets.

Petra is spending her 29th year on this Earth, on a quest to explore as many parts as of it as possible! She was around 7 years old the first time she heard the term “backpacker” with the explanation something along the lines of “someone who travels around the world with only a backpack”. Ever since, it’s been her dream to one day achieve this status! Her family immigrated to Sweden when she was young. She took a gap year to travel to Canada, Japan and Spain, before she returned to Finland in order to study Nursing – in English. In her free time she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, travel, and learn about the places and cultures she explores.

Couple:
We met 5 years back, April 2014, at a annual assembly of a student organisation, when we both got elected to the board. Five months later we became a couple, and moved into together in February 2016. In April 2018 we said “I do” to each other in a city council wedding we kept a secret from our friends and family! Summer 2018 we got rid of our apartment and packed away our things at relatives attics and dark corners, and September 1st, 2018, we set out for a trip through 4 countries until we arrived on September 27th to explore New Zealand on our Working Holiday Adventure! And who knows what’s up after that?!
