Last week’s in New Zealand

Our visa runs out at the end of the month. We still have one huge thing left on our “Must do’s in NZ”, as well as prepping the van for selling.

The BIG thing, is that we still haven’t made it to Hobbiton! Being huge Lord of the Rings fans, we want it to be perfect. We might be having too high expectations even! Last time we were in the region of Matamata, the forcast was just rain and rain. So we postponed it – again. Now time is running low, but we really wanna go. We don’t even need a sunny day (even though that’d be lovely). We, especially I, do want it to be rain free. And it’s sort of still winter here. NZ winters means rain. We might be hoping for too much! This is something that we want to do within two weeks. Let’s pray to all the weather gods to be on our side!

Next big thing, we need to service our van, do a wheel alignment and then get a WoF (Warranty of Fitness, Sv; besiktning, Fi; katsastus) and fingers crossed that there’s no big mechanical problems with the van! After that we should be good to go to sell the van!

And then what?

That partly depends on if we get the price for the van we’re hoping for. But the plan right now is to visit friends in Melbourne and after that head to South East Asia. Once some tickets and decisions are finalized, we’ll tell you more.

So for now, we’re not coming home quite yet.
