Or at least I imagine it is so. But it barely looks like it!

Ok, so if you’re easily grossed out, don’t read any further! You have been warned!

So my instructions before getting my dreads was to do my last wash of the hair two days before my appointment. That’s Friday 3 weeks ago now! I’ve never gone this long without washing my hair since I first started washing my own hair. (Before that I don’t have a memory really, I presume my parents had a decent judgement of when my hair needed a wash or not).

But it barely looks dirty through. Like I usually get oily hair around my temples/ears pretty quickly, like within 3 days. But it’s just in the past 5 days or so that my right temple is staring to get oily. And since yesterday on my left side. It’s starting to be rather fluffy though. Like small hairs escaping the dreads and creating a halo around my head and dreads!

Strangely enough my scalp has stopped itching as badly as it has been during the first 2 weeks. Not sure what has changed, maybe us being out more, it getting more sun and wind? Which ever, I’m appreciating the reduction of itchiness. Some evenings it’s been rather bad!

Even though the itching is less, and it doesn’t really look dirty, I am very much so looking forward to getting to wash it again. Tuesday the 8th is the day! 4 more days! I’m counting down as if it was my birthday or Christmas! That’s how much I’ve missed letting water run through my scalp..
