This might be a weird topic, but it’s something that shocked both me and Petri in Bali.

As far as I can recall, majority of all countries I’ve visited and used an ATM machine in, follows the same pattern. Insert your card, pin, how much you want to withdraw, with/without receipt, card comes out, cash comes out and lastly receipts come out. A few times the receipt and cash switches order, but that’s ok.

You’d agree that this is the order, right?!

Well, in Bali, I was going to withdraw cash. As usual card in, pin, choose amount and if receipt. I heard the machine counting the money. I get the cash. What? Where’s my card? I get the reciept. Wait a minute! WHERE IS MY CARD?!

Halfway building up to freaking out by the machine eating up my card, it is given back. Last! What?! Is there other countries that also has this order?
