People have been asking us how long have we been in NZ and have always been surprised how accurately we are able to answer how many days ago we left Finland. This is because I made a counter back in 2017 that we used to motivate our preparation phase. We added the detailed time when we actually booked the tickets from Finland.

We eventually forgot the counter until my phone was stolen in January and I found the counter in my older phones bookmarks. It has been satisfying to see the days and the minutes add up and we’re still surviving out here.

Today the counter is telling us that we’re been away form home 435 days. And I find it’s amazing to be able to travel that long. Even though we have been mostly in one country, we have been moving a lot, actually 3.5 months is the longest we have been in one city.

We have changed so much during the past 435 days that it’s hard to explain. We’re not done travelling yet, and I do believe we never will.
